Our Story
Danica Rosé is Somnium’s French cousin: rooted in the heart of France’s oldest and most romantic winemaking region, Provence. Inspired by her many visits to this idyllic area, Danica Patrick dreamt of having her own fresh and elegant Provençal rosé – a wine that people could savor all year round. Through her partnership with the Margnat family, whose winemaking tradition stretches back to the 1790s, Danica made another dream come true.
Tech Notes
The Journey to the Bottle
Only the highest quality grapes are invited to our winery in Provence, where we keep them cool and comfortable to preserve their beautiful natural aromas, flavors and color. After a single pressing, the juice ferments slowly in low, controlled temperatures until all the grape sugars have converted to alcohol. Once we filter out any impurities, we pour the wine for Danica Patrick herself – who decides whether it meets with her exacting personal standards. If it does, we bottle it up in our signature Danica Rosé bottles and send it out to conquer the world.
Tasting Notes
Bright and refreshing, this summer-ready rosé shines with layers of luscious cantaloupe, white peach, wild strawberries, mandarin orange, and cool river rock minerality. Creamy textures balance the fresh acidity and glide into a long, tasty finish of strawberry and cranberry.
